This is applied over the entire length of the lashes, while they are still on an under-eye patch. Step 1 makes the lashes supple and flexible, making them much easier to place on the shield later. This ensures a more even and faster result.

Is applying step 1 to the entire length of the lashes safe?

For lash lift systems based on Thioglycolic Acid, it is not recommended to apply step 1 over the entire length of the lashes. However, this does not apply to systems that use Cysteamine. This ingredient is milder and can be safely applied over the entire length, including the tips of the lashes. This creates a balm-like substance with which you can immediately start wrapping the lashes onto the shield. Often, the lashes will stay in place by themselves, without extra glue or balm.
