The move to pardon Joe Arpaio is one of the worst decisions that President Donald Trump ever had. The migrant community, especially in Arizona, is disappointed because of the pardon was given by the president to one of the most racist sheriffs ever to hold an office.
There are now calls for the president to reverse his decision, and many migrants think that Joe Arpaio deserves the prison life. Two of the most vocal opposition to this decision by President Donald Trump is Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin.
They have experienced the cruelty of Joe Arpaio first hand, and they wanted him to spend the rest of his life in jails because of the horrific things that he has done against the migrants. He is now set to run for the Senate, and he is hoping that the rest of the Americans who hated the immigration programs of the government would support him.
The migrant community in the United States is now calling their allied groups to hold protests against the decision of the president to pardon Joe Arpaio. Moments after the news broke out, online posts which are describing the atrocities of Joe Arpaio in detail surfaced. One of the posts stated how he built a tent city near his home, where the undocumented migrants are being forced to work until they pass out.
Another post claims how he killed a dog belonging to a migrant. Another post could be the sickest one, as Joe Arpaio is being accused of letting a pregnant woman give birth in an unsafe place because she is undocumented and will be denied her rights. The accusations against Joe Arpaio seemed farfetched, but some people would testify against him, proving that all of these accusations are true. The arrest of Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin sparked protests across the country, saying that their arrest is just the beginning, and more people will be arrested if the freedom of speech will deliberately be attacked.
The judge handling their cases proved that the two did not commit any crime, resulting in Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin going back home delighted. Because of the humiliation that they’ve gone through, they sought damages from the court and was awarded $3.75 million.
